  1. 1) Is it true that globalization destroys the rain forest?

Yes. With globalisation, there is a need for deforestation to grow more crops.

    2) Is China largely responsible for the increase in “forest crime”? Why?

No. China is responsible for the more than 2.5 million acres of tropical forest that have been cleared in recent years to plant soybeans, but the British import of soy animal feed is also responsible for the forest crime of clearing of virgin forest.

    3) Is forest clearing the sole factor that attributes to environmental degradation?

No. Air and water pollution from accelerated burning of coal and other use of chemicals to fuel export machines also attributes to environmental degradation.

    4) How does technology helps in conveying realities of environmental degradation to the world?

Technology helps relay messages quicker and its immediacy gives activist opportunities to convey their message regarding the realities of environmental degradation to a wider, global audience.

    5) What have been done to reduce the negative impact caused by global warming?

Combating the ozone depletion through the Montreal Protocol as well as global awareness has help to reduce the negative impact caused by global warming.
